MAJOR LOCATIONS

The towns that complete the picture.

west

east

CASARES

A quiet beachfront stretch between Estepona and Sotogrande where long sandy beaches, a small marina at Sabinillas and genuinely unhurried coastal living sit within fifteen minutes of both. For buyers who want direct beach access at prices that the more prominent western towns no longer offer, Casares Costa is the corridor’s most underrated address.

MANILVA

The westernmost town on the Costa del Sol proper, where the coast begins to transition toward Sotogrande and the Cádiz Province border. Authentic, unhurried and significantly more affordable than its neighbours, with a marina at Puerto de la Duquesa that gives it more lifestyle infrastructure than its size suggests.

LA ALCAIDESA

A quiet residential enclave on the border of Cádiz Province, directly adjacent to Sotogrande and within sight of Gibraltar: golf, privacy and both competitively priced properties and exclusive lifestyle resort centres. For buyers who want the Sotogrande lifestyle at a more accessible entry point, La Alcaidesa is the answer.

MIJAS

Three towns in one municipality. Mijas Pueblo, the iconic whitewashed hillside village; Mijas Costa, a well-connected coastal strip; and La Cala de Mijas, one of the best-value areas on the entire western corridor. Understanding which version of Mijas you want is the starting point; they are genuinely different places with different buyers.

FUENGIROLA

The most connected town on the western Costa del Sol; direct Cercanías rail to Málaga city and the airport makes it the practical choice for professionals who need urban access without sacrificing coastal living. A well-established international community, long promenade and accessible prices make it the most logical entry point to the corridor for buyers who prioritise connectivity.

BENALMADENA

The eastern corridor’s most established international town – closer to Málaga Airport than anywhere west of it, with one of the largest marinas on the coast and strong year-round rental demand. Better suited to investors and airport-proximate professionals than primary-residence families looking for the full western Costa del Sol lifestyle.
